  • We will pick you up at Lombok airport or elsewhere on Lombok Island and transfer you to your hotel in Tetebatu.
  • Meet with a Rinjani trekking guide who will provide guidance to better prepare you for the journey.
Overview of the trekking trail on day 1
  • Distance: 10 km
  • Hiking duration: 6-7 hours
  • Difficulty level: Medium
  • Highest point: 2,350 m (Plawangan Tetebatu)

Day 1 Trekking
  • After breakfast at the hotel, we will start the hike to the Tetebatu crater rim. We will start the hike from Tetebatu village, which is 700 meters above sea level, and drive to the starting point at the monkey forest, which is 800 meters above sea level. From this point, we can clearly see Mount Rinjani or the rim of the Tetebatu crater, which is our destination.

  • After a 30-minute walk from the Monkey Forest, we will enter a dense forest, walking along a path that feels fresh and natural.

  • The many trees cast shadows on the trail, making it feel cool. After an hour and 30 minutes, we will reach the first rest stop, known as Pondok Belanda. It is possible that the Dutch once rested here before continuing their journey to Mount Kondo or Segara Anak Lake.

  • After a short rest, we will continue our journey, and after 15 minutes, we will reach a meadow. At this place, we can see Tetebatu Village far behind us, and Mount Rinjani on the right side standing tall. After 1 hour and 30 minutes, we leave the Dutch Hut and arrive at Post 2 for lunch and rest.

  • After lunch and a good rest, we will continue our journey to the campsite (2350m above sea level) at Tetebatu Crater. The trail is quite steep, so we will reach the campsite after 2 hours of normal time. At this place, we set up our tents for rest, dinner, and overnight with a beautiful view of Rinjani’s peak towering among the clouds.

Day 2 Trekking
  • Wake up early, at 4am, and enjoy a light breakfast with hot drinks. At 4.30am, we will take you on a 1.5-hour hike to the top of Mount Sangkareang, which is 2,957 meters high.

  • We will reach the summit at sunrise, enjoy the panorama, and rest here. At 7am, we will continue our trek down to base camp. After spending 5 hours, including lunch, and stopping to rest, we reach the village and take a shower at the hotel.

  • Afterwards, we will drive you to your next destination on Lombok Island.
