Overview

Mount Tambora Trekking Package to the peak of 2851 meters above sea level together starts from the village of Pancasila 600 masl on Sumbawa Island.

We arrange this package for you with professional services, experienced guides and porters, delicious food and drinks and pleasant service.

 

Trekking Package Price Included:

1. Licensed and experienced mountain guides and local porters.

2. One night hotel accommodation in Pancasila village before the hike.

3. Full camping equipment including tents, sleeping bags, mattresses, pillows, cooking utensils and toilet tents.

4. Three meals a day with warm drinks, 2 large bottles of mineral water + unlimited boiled water, soft drinks, and fresh fruit.

5. Entrance fee to Mount Tambora National Park

6. Pick-up and drop-off transportation (pp) from Sumbawa Besar or Dompu or Bima to Pancasila village.

Schedule Details

Day of arrival (Day 0)
  • We will pick you up at Bima or Sumbawa Besar airport or elsewhere on Sumbawa Island and transfer you to your hotel in Pancasila.
  • Meet with a Tambora trekking guide who will provide guiding information to better prepare you for this journey.

Day 1 Trekking
  • 06.00 Breakfast and hike preparation
  • 07.00 Start the hike to the jungle entrance
  • 08.00 Arrive at Post 1, take a short break then continue to Post 2 and Post 3
  • 12.00 Arrive at Post 3, rest and have lunch
  • 13.00 Back to continue the journey to Post 4 and Post 5
  • 16.00 Arrive at Post 5, build tents, free program and rest
  • 17.00 Dinner and briefing on preparation for the summit, then rest.
Day 2 Trekking
  • 02.00 Preparation for Mount Tambora Peak

  • 02.30 Start the ascent to the summit

  • 05.30 Arrive at the summit, enjoy the beauty of nature and sunrise

  • 06.30 Back down to Post 5, short break, packing and breakfast

  • 08.00 Descend to Post 3

  • 11.00 Arrive at Post 3, rest and enjoy lunch

  • 16.00 Arrive at Post 1, build tents, rest and free program

Day 3 Trekking

  • 11.00 Arrive at Pancasila Village, rest and clean up and have lunch
  • 13.00 Travel back to Sumbawa Besar City or Bima.
  • 19.00 Program completed.
